A brief rundown on myself:
All my puppies are guaranteed. I am a member of both the American
Brussels Griffon Club and the National B. G. Club, and have had the Griffons for
over l0 years, and have finished the championship on over 40 griffons - with 36
that carry the Cherwyn name, so they were born here. My parents had the
Griffons in the 70's. Both parents were Professional handlers - so I grew up
with show dogs. In l974 I went BOB and Group 3 at the Westminster show with an
Irish Setter. I am still very active in the show ring, one of our dogs
Ch. Cherwyn's Wild Angel was Best of Opposite Sex (best female in show) at the l998
National Spec. over an entry of l38. She was also shown at the Westminster KC
show. Her 2 year old son Ch. Cherwyn's Hunk A Burn'n Love
AKA 'Elvis' has been quite successful - placing either Winners Dog, Reserve
Winners Dog or Best in Sweepstakes at three ABGA Specialties and this Sept her
year old son was Winners dog at the Roving specialty weekend in Atlanta and is
now know as Ch. Cherwyn's Walk on The Wild Side.... AKA "Lil Zing" Last year
during the specialty weekend our Ch. Cherwyn's Bad Bad Leroy
Brown was very successful, also placing Winners Dog. In fact we just
received an e-mail from the AKC inviting him to compete in the American Eukanuba
Dog Classis as he is in the top 20 Brussels Griffons in the USA. While you are
looking for just a companion you still need to be concerned with your breeeders
motives for breeding. Are they breeding strictly for "money" or are they trying
to produce puppies that best fit the AKC's standard for the breed. Since you are
researching the breed you need to make sure that what you get is what you
expected.
